Srinagar, July 08 (KNO): Registrar University of Kashmir Dr Nisar A Mir has expressed deep gratitude to all civil society members including academicians, writers, scientists, officials of civil administration, members in the judiciary, political leaders, research scholars, teaching and non-teaching staff of Kashmir University, from other Universities and colleges, friends, neighbours and relatives for their condolences over the demise of his brother, M Afzal Mir, who passed away after brief illness on the evening of July, 01, Monday at Dadsara Tral. “I am very thankful to all my friends from academics and also from different fields who shared the pain and agony of our family and came to visit in person to offer their condolences. At the same time I also express my gratitude to those who sent condolence messages on phone and through e-mail and social media,” said Dr Nisar A Mir in a statement issued to KNO. Dr Mir also said that he is specially thankful to the Office Bearers, Executive Body members and other members of Kashmir University Teachers Association (KUTA), Kashmir University Officers Association (KUOA), Kashmir University Ministerial Staff Association (KUMSA) and several other delegations of University employees and delegations from other state departments and other universities who personally visited the bereaved family at Dadsara Tral. Meanwhile, people from different walks of life continued to visit Dr Mir at his official chamber at the University as well at his private residence at Naseem Bagh, to express their condolences.(KNO)
